Why don’t we use “content-first” approach?

If the primary purpose of websites is to deliver valuable content to an audience, we should be designing content-first. Most of the time developer while web development process uses “design first” approach where developer starts working on the design, using dummy content and image placeholders as content, because client hasn’t prepared any content yet. But when client comes with the content then it happens sometime that his content does not fit into your design, there are missing features or there are ‘bugs’ in the front-end and then finally it leads to dissatisfaction.

It is better if we use “content-first” approach in website development process where primary focus will be content and we work on content planning and creation. Taking a content-first approach offers several benefits that range from enabling a better overall design vision to catching problems in the design before they become problems.

It is said that “Content is King”, no matter how beautifully designed a website is, but we should be thinking about out how users will be interacting with the content.

It saves time and also saves on both administrative and development costs.

Great content helps build a good online reputation.

By now we hope you have an understanding of the benefits of taking a content first approach to your next web project. You can write the content yourself and provide it to your design team or you can hire a professional copywriter.
